PARIS, FRANCE, April 1, 2025 – Tarkett, a global leader in innovative and sustainable flooring and sports surface solutions, today announces its 2024 Sustainability Report, fully reviewed by independent third parties. Tarkett is the first global company in its industry to meet the requirements of the new EU Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD).

"The European CSRD regulation marks an important step toward greater social and environmental responsibility for companies. It introduces a unified sustainability framework for all organizations. For Tarkett, this was an incentive to identify the most important issues and challenges. By using relevant methodologies to reduce impact and assess risks, we have accelerated progress on ESG factors. As part of our ambitious climate strategy for 2030, we have successfully reduced greenhouse gas emissions across the entire value chain – covering all three emission categories (scope 1, 2, and 3) – by 23% in the last five years," said Fabrice Barthélemy, CEO of Tarkett.

In early 2023, the company's climate strategy was approved by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi). Tarkett is also listed on the annual list of European climate leaders published by the Financial Times and Statista. In September 2024, Tarkett received the Platinum medal from EcoVadis, placing it among the top 1% of companies evaluated out of 130,000 in 180 countries. The latest recognition came in February 2025, when Tarkett was included in the prestigious A-list by CDP, ranking among the top 2% of companies out of 24,800 assessed on climate performance.

Key sustainability achievements by Tarkett in 2024:

157,000 tons of recycled materials were used in production, representing 19% of total raw materials. The goal is to achieve a 30% share of recycled content in products by 2030.

69% of raw materials used in production are renewable, readily available, or recycled, carefully selected to avoid resource depletion.

The ReStart® collection and recycling program operates in 29 countries across 5 continents. Over the past 14 years, ReStart® has facilitated the collection of 124,000 tons of flooring at the end of its lifecycle – equivalent to the weight of 12 Eiffel Towers.

Continued and expanded partnership with Ingka Group (IKEA). Over the past 5 years, 70,000 m² of used vinyl flooring were collected from IKEA stores in 13 European countries (compared to 8 countries in 2022), which were recycled at Tarkett's center in Ronneby, Sweden, avoiding the emission of 700 tons of greenhouse gases.

Artificial turf regeneration plants in Pennsylvania and Oregon (USA) collected and processed 11,700 tons of material for reuse in new projects in 2024.

As part of its commitment to diversity and inclusion, the share of women in leadership positions reached 29% in 2024, bringing the company very close to its goal of 30% by 2025.
