Tarkett has been awarded high scores in Sustainability Competitiveness and Climate Change Risk Management: EcoVadis Platinum medal & CDP award

03rd February 2021

We are proud to announce that for the first time Tarkett has been awarded the Platinum medal by EcoVadis, the highest recognition level of Sustainability performance which can be achieved by a company.
Today, we are pleased to inform you about another successful rating. For the first time in the history of our company, Tarkett has been scored B, the CDP management level, illustrating our commitment to combating climate change.

EcoVadis Platinum medal

We are now ranked among the top 1% of companies in our industry rated by EcoVadis.
EcoVadis is one of the world’s largest providers of business sustainability ratings, assessing 75,000 companies in over 160 countries each year. EcoVadis assesses CSR policies, actions and results through 4 themes and 21 different CSR criteria, including Environment, Labour and Human Rights, Ethics, as well as Sustainable Procurement.  A year ago, we were awarded the silver medal, which already showed a strong achievement. In the meantime, we have made even greater progress in terms of sustainability – which is now shown by our results.

CDP award

The Tarkett Group was scored B, the CDP management level, regarding the climate change performance assessment.
CDP is a global non-profit organization providing the world’s leading climate performance platform, including more than 9,600 companies which represent over 50% of the global market capitalization. In the near future, we are convinced that we can achieve even better results because we plan to further reduce the intensity of greenhouse gas emissions by 30% by 2030 as compared to 2020.

Why are these improved performance scores great news for all of us?
Good sustainability ratings by independent agencies have recently shifted from “nice to have” to “must have”. These ratings show that we anticipate upcoming regulations, new risks and opportunities which could affect our business models.

Congratulations to all our teams around the world being involved in the development and implementation of our ambitious environmental sustainability roadmap and climate action roadmap, which are both integrated into our “Change to Win” strategic plan!
